An overview of the faculty of Arts, Languages and Literature
The College of Literature, Languages, and Arts, affiliated with the University of Dr. Moulay Taher Saida, is a public institution focused on addressing globalization challenges through science, knowledge, and cultural heritage. It aims to support scientific research and meet higher education needs while engaging with its economic and social environment. The university in Saida was upgraded from a university center to a full university on January 4, 2009, which significantly impacted higher education in the region, launched in 1986.
The establishment of Saeeda University was further solidified by an amendment on May 20, 2013. The College of Literature, Languages, and Arts includes around 3,139 students, 123 permanent professors, 42 high-level professors, and 75 staff members. It is led by a dean and two deputies overseeing graduate studies, student affairs, scientific research, and external relations. The college has four departments: Arabic Literature, French Language, English, and Arts.

Our Departments
Our faculty comprises four departments: English, Arabic, French, and Art. Each department offers specialized programs designed to develop linguistic proficiency, cultural understanding, and critical thinking skills. Our experienced educators employ dynamic teaching methods to provide a comprehensive and immersive learning experience. Arabic
Our faculty offers a comprehensive Arabic language program designed to develop proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Our experienced educators employ interactive methods to immerse students in both the language and its rich cultural context. By mastering Arabic, students unlock diverse career opportunities in international relations, business, media, and academia.

French
Our French department at the faculty provides a holistic program, emphasizing proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, alongside an in-depth study of Francophone culture and literature. Seasoned instructors employ immersive strategies to elevate language abilities and deepen cultural insight. Graduates are primed for various professional avenues, including international relations, translation, education, and global business.

English
Our faculty’s English program develops advanced skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening while delving into literature and cultural analysis. With dynamic teaching approaches, our experienced faculty enhance language proficiency and critical thinking. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in education, publishing, media, and global communications.

Art
Our faculty’s art program nurtures creativity and technical skills across various mediums, including painting, sculpture, and digital arts. Guided by experienced artists and educators, students explore art history, theory, and contemporary practices. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in fine arts, design, curation, and art education.
